Education, not medical advice
The content on this site is general patient education about injectable skin-quality treatment. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. It cannot account for your skin, your history or your risk factors, and it must not be used to decide on a treatment by itself.
No outcome is guaranteed
No injectable treatment can be guaranteed. Results vary between patients, and the same treatment given well produces different outcomes in different skin. Statements on this site about what a course can achieve describe what is generally possible, not what will happen to you.
Individual variation
Hydration, evenness, bruising, lump formation and how long an effect lasts all vary. The effect is temporary in every case. A description of a typical course is not a prediction of yours.
When to seek care
If you have a lump that is enlarging or painful, redness or warmth spreading from an injection point, blistering or discolouration of the skin, or any change in vision or sensation after a treatment, seek care about that rather than waiting for a scheduled review. Nothing on this site is a substitute for having a symptom examined.
In an emergency
This website is not monitored. If you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are a patient of this hospital and have an urgent problem after a treatment, use the contacts you were given at discharge.
